We live in a world of instant gratification. Thanks to Netflix (and Crave, Youtube, Amazon Prime) you don’t have to wait until Tuesday at 7PM to watch the next episode of your show, you can go to the grocery store and purchase strawberries all year round (albeit they might not taste as sweet as the strawberries in June) and right now, if we wanted to, you and I could video chat LIVE.
It’s no wonder so many women tell me they are impatient with their weight loss journey. That they’ve failed their diets so many times before because they didn’t get results at the pace they were hoping for.
They didn’t see results right away, and thought ‘what’s the point?’
Are you one of them?
Are you practicing patience? Are you trusting the process?
Or are you expecting everything to happen all at once, when transformation takes time
Change can happen in an instant. Right now, in this moment, you can decide to change the way you think. You can change a habit right now.
What takes time is for that habit, that new way of thinking, to become easier.
What takes time is for the body to catch up.
It takes time for what’s happening on the outside (your body) to catch up with what’s happening with the inside (your mindset and habits).
As you go through your day, ask yourself how you can show up fully today and be patient with the process?
The outside transformation will follow the internal one when you choose consistency.
Be patient with yourself.
