FVY 005: Mindful Eating with Amanda Sarich

In this episode of the Fit and Vibrant You Podcast we’re going to be talking about an absolutely transformational habit.  This habit has the power to improve all aspects of your life- will improve your relationships, decrease your stress and anxiety, improve your workouts, and your eating habits.  With this habit you’ll enjoy your food way more, and naturally eat less without even trying.  SWEET!!!    We’re talking about Mindfulness, and more specifically mindful eating.  Mindfulness is super simple, but when it comes to implementing it, it can be a bit more challenging.  To help us, I’ve invited Amanda Sarich on to the show.  Also, as a thank you for listening to the show, and to help you to remember to be mindful, I’ve put together ‘mindfulness’ reminder cut out notes so you can post them on the fridge, cupboards, or really wherever you want to put them.  Click on the green button below to download the mindful eating reminders!

In episode 5 of the Fit and Vibrant You Podcast, we tackled topics like:

  • What mindfulness is (I had to ask- and Amanda gave a great answer!)
  • The three types of thinking- and where we could try to spend more time
  • How to be successful at being more ‘mindful’.  After all, it’s super simple, but challenging to implement!
  • 6 Questions to ask yourself about eating
A bit about Amanda: Amanda’s passion for psychology has proven to be both inspiring and life changing; the field of psychology has long been a genuine interest and guiding force throughout Amanda’s academic career. Amanda recently completed her Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology at the University of Lethbridge. She also holds a B.A in Psychology from the University of Alberta. Amanda’s practical experience coupled with her undergraduate and graduate training has enabled Amanda to use evidenced-based interventions (cognitive behavioural therapy and mindfulness) to empower clients to overcome their personal obstacles. She is continuously inspired by the courage it takes for people to work towards change.
