In the Fit and Vibrant You podcast, I like to look at the big picture of health, and focus on mindset changes, but also deliver strategies and tools to help along the way. And this episode is all about strategies.
My guest today is Gerald Smith, and we talk all about High Intensity Interval Training. Gerald is the face behind “Slimmer, Fitter, Stronger”, and is a personal trainer and nutritional therapist of the highest caliber.
Working with busy, high-earning executives is Gerald’s specialty, as he understands the challenges in implementing dietary changes in busy lifestyles.
He provides his clients with a practical and supportive approach, motivating them to achieve fitness and nutrition goals that they previously never thought possible.
Gerald holds a degree in Exercise, Nutrition and Health, as well as numerous other certificates and qualifications.
His passion for fitness and health has led him to continue his education, studying nutritional therapy within the school of natural health sciences.
In this episode you’re going to learn:
- What high intensity interval training is and why you may want to add it into your workout routine
- Simple ways to get started, even if you have no equipment and no gym membership
- How to alter work to rest ratio, intensity level and frequency of training based on your fitness level
- And of course… action steps to get started!
Gerald also has a special report “The Fit Executive” where you’ll learn more interval training system that Gerald has created.
Gerald also mentioned the book: Feel the Fear and Do it Anyway.
And, I’ve also put together a few body weight HIIT workouts for you to try. Let me know how they go!
