If you’re struggling… listen in.
How you show up right now in this moment matters. It matters if things are going well and you’re feeling good about your progress.
It matters even more if you’re struggling. If you don’t feel like it.
When you first declare that you’re going to get fit, lose the weight, excitement and motivation is high.
But over time that motivation wanes. Excitement wears down.
Maybe results aren’t coming as quickly as you’d like. You’ve fallen a bit off track and think you don’t have it in you to follow through on your goals. Saying no to the nighttime snacking is just, well, hard. And you just don’t feel like doing it anymore.
Then those sabotaging thoughts come:
See, here we go again.
This is so hard.
I don’t have the time.
I guess I don’t have what it takes.
If that’s you, your next step matters.
No one said this would be easy. And there is no growth in easy.
Challenges bring growth. And the biggest challenge is when you don’t feel like it anymore.
Right now, you have a decision: do what you’ve always done before and give in to those thoughts and excuses. To give up when things get hard.
Or you can decide to recommit take that next step forward.
How you show up for yourself NOW matters.
What decision are you going to make?
Decide right now to show up for yourself. Decide to do one thing.
Pick yourself up and keep going.
Go for that walk.
Make a healthy meal.
Reactivate your gym membership (and go).
Drink a glass of water.
Eat a salad at dinner.
