You are not alone.
Reaching out for help is one of the most courageous things we can do. It can also be one of the most helpful we can do because it reminds us that we aren’t alone.
We might feel like we’re the only one with this problem in our lives or feel like no one could possibly understand or that we’re the only one who hasn’t figured out this obstacle already. That something is wrong with us, or that we’re just weak and need more willpower. Sometimes our struggles, especially around emotional eating or self sabotage, are laden with shame. We don’t talk about it… we keep it a secret.
And shame loves secrecy.
When I have my initial calls with women I work with, there is so much relief, and then hope when they realize that they are not alone. And that they can get help.
The amazing thing is, we have so much support all around us. There are coaches and mentors out there who have helped so many others with challenges just like yours. There’s help to Stop Self Sabotage. There are friends and family members surrounding you, and they might understand what you’re going through more than you might know.
You also have support from a Higher Power. You might call it God or the Universe, but there is some powerful force in your life supporting you all along the way.
If you are someone who generally tries to go through your challenges alone and figure it out for yourself, I challenge you to reach out for help. It can be a coach if you have one. It can be a friend or partner or family member. Just find someone and show courage by reaching out. You will not only be growing by asking for this support, but you will also deepen your connection with whoever you reach out to for help at the same time.
With love,
